In January at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, 13 CEOs and chairpersons from major international corporations met to form a new “Hydrogen Council.” The first global initiative of its kind, the council plans to invest more than $10 billion in hydrogen-related products over the next five years.

At the Sustainable Road Transport Conference the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and Innovate UK announced funding for 20 firms that have plans to deploy low and zero emissions vehicles. The aim of the competition is to demonstrate new technologies and to encourage the widespread introduction of low and zero emission vehicles to UK fleets.
