Sun Country Academy recently joined the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) as a National Training Center member, launching a specialized automotive training program for alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles in their community.
Sun Country Academy is the educational division of Sun Country Highway, known for establishing electric vehicle charging infrastructure throughout Canada and the U.S., and as far away as the Caribbean and Scandinavia.
Seeing a lack of appropriate education in electric vehicle safety practices, as a potential hindrance to electric vehicle adoption, Sun Country Academy is currently using the NAFTC First Responder Training curriculum to deliver this critical high-voltage safety knowledge and real-world, life-saving skills to fire fighters, law enforcement, and emergency medical services personnel throughout Canada.
As a consortium member, Sun Country Academy has access to train-the-trainer classes on numerous alternative fuel vehicle topics for multiple audiences, including automotive technicians and first responders. For more information about joining the NAFTC, visit MyNAFTC.
Sun Country Academy is one of nearly 50 National and Associate Training Centers across the United States and Canada. These centers are the only schools to offer the award winning, state-of-the-art NAFTC curricula and training.
