National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) Director Bill Davis attended ACT Expo 2015 May 4-7 in Dallas, TX to meet with leaders in the alternative fuel vehicle industry and to provide information on the curricula and training provided by the NAFTC.

ACT Expo is coordinated by Gladstein, Neandross, and Associates, a consulting firm specializing in market development for low emission and alternative fuel vehicle technologies, infrastructure, and fuels. The NAFTC was once again an Endorsing Organization of this year’s ACT Expo.

“ACT has evolved into a major conference for alternative fuel vehicles. A large number of Clean Cities coordinators are there, in addition to a major number of fleet personnel. If you’re interested in transportation other than crude oil derivatives, this is the place to go,” said Davis.

ACT Expo 2015 included keynote speakers, plenary and breakout sessions, networking events, a ride and drive event, and off-site technical tours. Sponsored by nearly 200 leading equipment manufacturers, technology providers and fuels suppliers, ACT Expo 2014 hosted some of the top names and transportation leaders across the alternative fuel and clean vehicle technologies arena.

“As the transportation industry faces volatile oil prices and continually tightening emissions regulations, it’s vital for fleet operators to understand the wide range of options available—including electric, hybrid, hydrogen, natural gas, propane autogas, renewable fuels, DME, clean diesel, and efficiency technologies,” said Gladstein, Neandross, and Associates CEO Erik Neandross. “ACT Expo brings all of industry’s leading fueling, equipment and technology providers together in one location to showcase their latest products, allowing fleet operators to talk directly to engineers and manufacturers and determine what works best for their unique operations.”

ACT Expo is North America’s largest clean fleet event, representing all weight classes and alternative fuels— including electric, hybrid, hydrogen, natural gas, propane autogas, renewable fuels, and advanced technologies. The fifth year conference and expo is being hosted in partnership with the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA), NGV Global, Trucking Efficiency, US DOE Clean Cities, and US EPA Smartway. Nissan LEAF and the Propane Education & Research Council were the 2015 presenting sponsors.
