Planning for National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Day Odyssey 2014 continues as the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo and Fleets & Fuels sign on as Odyssey partners.
National AFV Day Odyssey is a nationwide, biennial celebration created by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) to promote the use of, and to educate the public on, alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles. Since its beginning in 2002, Odyssey has grown in size and impact through the years. Each National AFV Day Odyssey event draws an increasing number of participating locations and reaches millions of consumers through media outlets.

ACT Expo

Now in its fourth year, ACT Expo is the industry’s largest annual gathering, bringing together more than 3,000 attendees—fleets, technology companies, OEMs, fuel providers, infrastructure developers, and policymakers—for an in-depth discussion on the rapidly evolving clean transportation industry. All weight classes and alternative fuel types are represented—electric, hybrid, hydrogen, natural gas, propane autogas, and renewable fuels—providing a one-stop shop for fleets to learn how to reduce costs and emissions.

Fleets and FUels

Fleets & Fuels is an online newsletter and industry resource covering breaking news and current events within the transportation and alternative fuels industries.

Fleets & Fuels editor Rich Piellisch noted, “AFV Day Odyssey is perfectly aligned with the mission of Fleets & Fuels, as a leading industry publication with a mission of educating consumers on alternatively fueled fleets and the latest clean vehicle technology products. We are honored to be a media partner of the 2014 Odyssey event to help broaden awareness of all types of sustainable AFVs from coast to coast. This is truly a collective effort of likeminded companies, organizations and individuals working at the local level to impact change on a national scale.”

“The NAFTC is very excited to have the ACT Expo and Fleets & Fuels sign on as Odyssey partners,” said Judy Moore, NAFTC assistant director – communications and outreach. “These are really top-notch organizations that have incredible influence in the alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicle industries. This relationship will allow Odyssey to reach even more people with the importance of cleaner transportation choices message.”
