Blake Murray will retire from his position as Automotive Technology Director at Wenatchee Valley College (WVC) this month. Mr. Murray has been with WVC since 1997, representing the college in the Advanced Vehicle Innovations program (a partnership with the Port of Chelan County and the Chelan County PUD to convert hybrids to plug-in hybrid electric vehicles), and also serving as advisor to the student organization Knight Techs, where he provided leadership and other skills opportunities to trade and occupational students. Mr. Murray was instrumental in the college’s membership with the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC), and conducted the Electric Drive Vehicle First Responder Safety Training course at WVC in February 2012. The NAFTC wishes Mr. Murray all the best in his retirement.
