The Wisconsin Small-Scale Biofuels Producers Program (WSSBPP) presented the Small-Scale Gas and Liquid Biofuels Workshop and Expo April 10 in Appleton, Wis.
One of the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium’s National Training Centers, Fox Valley Technical College [Snippet Error: Invalid ID. Try editing the snippet again.] hosted the one-day event, which focused on biodiesel, ethanol and gasification.
The agenda included a morning lecture that provided answers to regulatory questions; discussed handling, storage and safety for small-scale production; addressed USDA and state funding opportunities; and examined what Wisconsin is doing to help small producers.
The afternoon session featured biofuels experts, business and government leaders, educators and equipment manufacturers. Their topics included biodiesel and raw oil systems, small-scale ethanol equipment, algae and aquaculture in Wisconsin, emerging technology and markets and biomass gasification systems.
