At the request of numerous participants, sponsors, and partners, the NAFTC is pleased to announce that the fourth installment of National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Day Odyssey will be held on Friday, October 3, 2008, in numerous locations nationwide.
National AFV Day Odyssey is a biennial celebration dedicated to promoting AFVs and advanced technology vehicles. In 2006, sixty sites hosted events in the United States, Canada, and Germany. Nearly forty thousand attendees were able to take part in activities such as ride-and-drives, educational seminars, and AFV/advanced technology vehicle training workshops, while being provided with numerous networking opportunities. In addition, Odyssey’s message reached more than 30 million individuals through media coverage.
Site coordinators/leaders, sponsors, and partners who want to become part of the solution are actively being recruited. To get involved with Odyssey 2008, please contact Judy Moore at NAFTC Headquarters via e-mail (Judy.Moore@mail.wvu.edu) or by calling 304-293-7882.
By working together, we can reduce our dependence on foreign oil, educate the nation on alternative fuel and advanced technology energy-efficient vehicles, and promote a healthy and sustainable planet. Now is the time to get involved and become part of the solution. Together, we can make a difference!
