Scott Ocken of Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), an NAFTC member school, was recently promoted to the position of Dean of Industry and Technology.
Scott began his education at DMACC, attending its automotive program from 1975-1977. After working as an automotive technician at Crescent Chevrolet and assistant service manager at Karl Chevrolet, he returned to the school in 1985 to serve as an instructor in the automotive program. In 1995, Scott became the Automotive/ASEP chair. He earned his undergraduate degree from Grandview College in 2004, and his master’s degree from Iowa State University in 2006.
DMACC has been an NAFTC National Training Center since November 2005.
